Better Together is a nonprofit that helps families in crisis by providing wrap-around support, work opportunities and unwavering grace, empathy and love. Job loss, addiction and homelessness are some of the challenges that tear families apart. If help isn’t given, parents become overwhelmed, their children suffer and risk being placed in foster care. Under the guidance of Better Together staff, vetted, volunteer host families provide children short-term care in safe, loving homes while parents work through their challenges. Mentors offer guidance and encouragement. A dedicated team of job specialists connect parents and others to meaningful work opportunities through job fairs, coaching and business partners. Businesses take part in job fairs, encourage volunteers and participate in the dollar-for-dollar Strong Families Tax Credit. Together, we all have a role in strengthening our communities and families.
